Vernon Downs' fate to be decided1 August 2007NEW YORK -- As reported by the Syracuse Post-Standard: "State regulators are scheduled to decide today if Vernon Downs can continue racing this season. "Since March, the racing board has allowed Vernon Downs to race just one month at a time, citing the track's ongoing financial troubles and inability to field enough horses early in the season.
