Vegas Carrier Adds Northern California Flights

11 June 2004

Las Vegas Sun

LAS VEGAS -- Allegiant Air announced its second new nonstop round-trip service from Las Vegas in a week, planning flights twice a week to and from Redding, Calif.

Las Vegas-based Allegiant, which is capitalizing on its niche as an air carrier linking second-tier communities with Las Vegas, earlier this week announced new nonstop flights to and from Bellingham, Wash.

The Redding service will be operated Fridays and Mondays, beginning Aug. 6. Flights will be offered on a 162-seat twin-engine MD-83 jet.

A spokesman for Allegiant said that the airline would add the service by expanding its fleet, acquiring its 10th jet.

Redding, located north of Sacramento, is the 12th city to be linked nonstop from Las Vegas by Allegiant.
