Vancouver casino hearing scheduled for Feb 17, 2011

VANCOUVER, BC -- The proposed new Edgewater Casino in Vancouver will face public scrutiny at a hearing scheduled for Feb 17, 2011, News 1130 reported.

The City of Vancouver are pitching the casino as a "destination casino" rather than a local one, to counter councillor fears on gambling addiction, the report mentioned.

There are also concerns over money laundering, News 1130 noted.
