(PRESS RELEASE) -- Legendary Grammy Award-winner Van Morrison has announced a five-night run of shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace 31 January and 1, 5, 7 and 8 February. The shows are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

General ticket prices beginning at $64.50, plus applicable tax and fees, go on sale to the general public starting Friday, 26 July at 10 a.m. PT at ticketmaster.com or in-person at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace box office.

American Express Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Tuesday, 23 July at 10 a.m. PT through Thursday, 25 July at 10 p.m. PT. In addition, Caesars Rewards members, Caesars Entertainment’s loyalty program, as well as Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers will have access to a presale beginning Wednesday, 24 July at 10 a.m. PT through Thursday, 25 July at 10 p.m. PT.

Van Morrison grew up on his father’s collection of blues, country and gospel music early in life and by the age of 13 was working as a travelling musician playing guitar and saxophone in several bands. In 1964, he formed the group Them, which would go on to record the much-covered hits “Gloria” and “Here Comes the Night.” A few years later, he released the Top 40 pop sensation “Brown Eyed Girl” and began his career as a successful solo musician. He has since released over 35 albums and has created one of the most revered catalogs in music history, including singles “Moondance,” “Have I Told You Lately” and “Days Like This.” Morrison has continued to advance his status as a game changing artist with numerous awards and accolades, including a knighthood, honorary degrees from two prestigious universities, a Brit Award, an OBE (Order of the British Empire), six Grammys and entry into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame.

The Prophet Speaks, released December of last year, marks Van Morrison’s 40th studio album. Called “Intimate, effortless-sounding exercises in sublime jazz phrasing . . . among his best compositions in a while” by Uncut, the fourteen track album follows a recent run of hugely acclaimed albums (Roll With The Punches, Versatile and You’re Driving Me Crazy), each of which has delved deep into the musical styles that have continued to inspire Van throughout his life – vocal jazz and R&B. Here, Van takes on a series of unarguable classics by the likes of John Lee Hooker, Sam Cooke and Solomon Burke (among others) and makes them unmistakably his own. Alongside these reinterpretations, The Prophet Speaks features six phenomenal new Van Morrison compositions including the single Got To Go Where The Love Is.
