USFantasy expands daily fantasy platform21 October 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- Due to overwhelming demand, USFantasy Sports will expand its daily fantasy platform to include professional basketball (NBA) and professional hockey (NHL) contests. Basketball, hockey and football contests will be available in all Nevada Race & Sports books currently offering USFantasy Sports beginning on Tuesday, 25 October. "We are thrilled to be expanding our fantasy platform to offer basketball and hockey games," said Vic Salerno, president of USFantasy Sports. "We want to appeal to all sports fans and fantasy players to get into the action. We can use this system for golf, baseball, basketball. . . Any sport you can imagine, so it's exciting to begin the process of adding new sports to the lineup." Unlike USFantasy Sports football contests, which are primarily segregated by position, basketball will offer daily contests that combines a diverse group of players and positions in each prop. The point scoring system prevents the high point scorers from being a shoe-in in each contest. At two points per rebound and one and a half points per assist, there will be plenty of contests where all-around players like Anthony Davis or Demarcus Cousins could out-perform the big scorers like Steph Curry and Damian Lillard. USFantasy Sports Hockey offers two exciting ways to play. There are daily contests for forwards and defensemen and separate contests for goalies. The forward and defensemen contests provide 15 points for each goal scored, 10 points per assist, two and a half points per Plus/Minus and one and a half points per shot on goal. Goalie scoring is much different with eight points for a win, one point for a save, five points for a shutout and minus five points for goals scored against the goalie. Just like in football, athletes will score points based on their performance in a live basketball or hockey game and contestants can bet on athletes to Win, Place or Show. USFantasy Sports is currently available in over 40 Nevada casinos and is expected to be offered in at least 60 Nevada casinos by December 2016.
