University VP Named to Pennsylvania Gaming Board

PENNSYLVANIA – As reported by the Pittsburgh Business News: "Gov. Ed Rendell on Sunday named an assistance vice president at Carnegie Mellon University to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

"Sandford Rivers, 61, is the second of three appointments to the board that Mr. Rendell will make. Pennsylvania is establishing the Gaming Control Board to oversee licensing and operation of slot-machine gambling venues authorized under legislation passed this year.

"…Mr. Rivers would resign his position at CMU to take the two-year term on the Gaming Control Board…"
