University to Develop Gaming Exec Program

17 August 2006

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania has partnered with industry experts to develop an education program for gaming executives. The Wharton Program for Gaming Executives will run February 18-23, 2007 at Wharton Executive Education in Philadelphia.

The Wharton Program for Gaming Executives, featuring Wharton faculty, takes the core concepts of business and applies them to the specific challenges of the gaming industry. It offers perspectives and frameworks in leadership, strategy, marketing, operations, finance, and other areas that can be used immediately to manage casinos and other gaming enterprises more effectively and profitably.

Cory Morowitz, MBA, CPA, has been appointed the industry director of The Wharton Program for Gaming Executives. The program is being developed jointly by Wharton Executive Education and Morowitz Gaming Advisors, LLC, a leading provider of training and consulting services to the gaming industry. In this capacity, Mr. Morowitz will assist with the development of program content, lead daily integration sessions in which he shows how what is learned in the classroom can be applied, and act as a liaison to the gaming industry.

Mr. Morowitz is a graduate of the Wharton School, where he earned his MBA in 1996. He is also the chairman and managing member of Morowitz Gaming Advisors, LLC, a gaming consultancy, and Morowitz & Company, LLC, a public accounting firm. Both firms are located in Galloway Township, New Jersey.
