UltimateBet player wins Swedish Open

26 October 2007

IAMI, Florida -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- It's been a hallmark year for UltimateBet's team of poker professionals.

Last week, Johan Storakers, one of the online poker site's European pros, conquered the 2007 Swedish Open Poker Championship, securing a first place prize of over $185,000.

Storakers' win was no stroke of luck. The Swedish poker phenomenon has experienced unparalleled worldwide success, cashing in a variety of land-based poker tournaments around the globe including World Series Of Poker (WSOP), World Poker Tour (WPT) and European Poker Tour (EPT) events.

The Swedish Texas Hold'em poker champ isn't alone on UltimateBet's stage of champions. On June 11th, Phil Hellmuth captured his 11th World Series of Poker bracelet. His record-shattering win makes Hellmuth the only poker player to have earned 11 WSOP bracelets. Phil is also the youngest player to ever win the WSOP Main Event in Vegas and he holds the record for most WSOP cashes with a seemingly untouchable 63.

Online poker fans don't have to look too far to go head-to-head with the two Texas Hold'em champs. Both Storakers and Hellmuth can be found playing in online poker tournaments and ring games at UltimateBet.com.
