UK Proposals Submitted

UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by the icWales: "A total of 19 schemes have been submitted to open huge casinos in 13 areas of the UK, a new report revealed today.

"Research for the GMB union showed that areas in line to have the first big casino since new legislation was introduced include Cardiff, Coventry, Glasgow, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Salford and Sunderland.

"Planning for some of the schemes was well developed and had the backing of the local community, but others faced local opposition, said the GMB.

"Paul Kenny, acting general secretary of the GMB said it was wrong of the Government to only allow one very large casino to be built…"
