UK casino report leaked

UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by the icWales: "Government plans for Las Vegas-style super-casinos could cause an increase in crime and anti-social behaviour, according to a leaked police report.

"Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell is expected to reveal the site of Britain's first super-casino in a fortnight's time and while London's Millennium Dome is thought to be the front runner, Cardiff has been mooted as an option.

"…The document was prepared by Detective Inspector Darren Warner, of the Metropolitan Police's Gaming Unit, and in it he gives super-casinos a cautious welcome but says: '(With) a massive development attracting hundreds or possibly thousands of people a day there are problems related to that.'

"…Warner also expresses fears about 'increased access to gambling for children and vulnerable groups' and says so-called 'sex attractions' could be used to lure in gamblers…"
