UB to sponsor Montreal poker event

19 March 2010

MIAMI, Florida -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- UB.com has signed on as headline sponsor of the inaugural Four Aces Poker Pro Canada Classic in Montreal, scheduled for April 15-18, 2010. UB, one of the world's leading online poker sites, recently sealed the deal with presenting partners Poker Pro Media and the Four Aces Poker Club, and is currently qualifying players for the $1500+150 buy-in No Limit Hold 'em tournament.

UB.com's online qualifiers give players a chance to win a $2500 prize package, including a seat at the $1,650 buy-in tournament, plus $850 for travel expenses to get to magnificent Montreal in Quebec, Canada. Super Satellites are already live at UB, running Sunday through Wednesday from now until April 7th, with a guarantee of 10 prize packages to be won each week, as follows:

* Sunday 16:05 ET, $200+$15 buy-in, 4 packages guaranteed
* Wednesday 21:00 ET, $200+$15 buy-in, 4 packages guaranteed
* Monday and Tuesdays, 20:30 ET, $300+$20 buy-in, 1 package guaranteed for each

Qualify for any of these Super Satellites for as little as $10+1, and keep an eye out for more daily satellites added to the line-up the closer the Montreal live event draws near. With an anticipated field of 300-plus players, and an expected prize pool in the realm of $500,000, that's half a million reasons to participate in the Four Aces Poker Pro Canada Classic.

The 'Classic' features three "day ones," with those who bust on Day 1a given the chance to rebuy into the event on Day 1b, and again on Day 1c. The top 10 percent of the field each day survive to fight it out at the felt on Sunday, April 18, for the title, the glory and the lucrative prize money.

UB, home of legendary Pro poker players Phil Hellmuth, and Annie Duke, will deliver 50 players to the Four Aces Poker Club for next month's debut event, which celebrates the launch of Poker Pro Media's newest title to hit the newsstand, 'Poker Pro Canada.' Players can also expect guest appearances by Team UB members.
