UB.com to sponsor Montreal tournament

24 August 2010

MIAMI, Florida -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- UB.com has signed on as headline sponsor of the first annual Four Aces Open, scheduled for September 10th, 2010 at the Four Aces Poker Club in Montreal, Canada. To celebrate the partnership, UB will be sending Team UB pro Mark 'P0ker H0' Kroon to represent the brand at the live event. The leading online poker site will also qualify players for the $2500+250 buy-in No Limit Hold 'em Main Event in a series of daily Four Aces Poker Open Super Satellites between August 29th and September 5th.

"When they told me there's a tournament up in Montreal, I knew I had to jump on it, and not just because of the killer smoked meat sandwiches and amazing 'clubs,'" said Mark "P0ker H0" Kroon. "In all seriousness, I really love Montreal for a lot of reasons and I can't wait to play poker at the Four Aces."

Each day during the run of UB.com's 'Four Aces' Super Satellites, the online qualifiers will give players a chance to win a $3,500 prize package, including a seat at the $2,750 entry Four Aces Poker Open, plus $750 for travel expenses to get to magnificent Montreal in Quebec, Canada.

The $300+20 buy-in Super Satellites will run every day at 20:05 ET between August 29th and September 5th, with a minimum of one prize package up for grabs per Super Satellite. From 16:05 ET on the day of each Super Satellite, UB will also host regular $40 buy-in Freezeouts and $10+1 Rebuy tournaments that feed into the 20:05 ET Super Satellite. Players should check the tournament lobby under the "Satellites" Tab for the full schedule.

With two separate Day Ones scheduled for the Four Aces Open, the prestigious Montreal Poker Club anticipates a field of 300-plus players, and an expected prize pool in the realm of $750,000. The top two tables from both Day 1A and Day 1B will return on Sunday, September 12th for Day 2, and if required, the final table will reconvene on Monday, September 13th to decide just who will be crowned as the Four Aces Poker champion.
