U.K.: MPs critical of misleading publicity campaign

19 November 2012

LONDON -- A government committee has made a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority over what it claims is a misleading anti-gambling campaign, according to a report in the Telegraph.

The All Party Betting and Gaming Committee says Derek Webb's "Campaign for Fairer Gambling" advertisements employ a skewed relationship with fact, the report said.

They also accuse Mr. Webb of being a hypocrite since he was the founder of Prime Table Games and gained $15 million when his company was sold to Galaxy Gaming last year, the Telegraph reported.
