U.K. Casino Companies Attack Government Proposal

UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by the UK Evening Standard: "Casino operators today ferociously criticised Government figures being used to justify its U-turn on deregulation, which is set to damage long-established British firms.

"…Speaking for the Government as it attempts to get the Bill through the House of Lords, Lord McIntosh claimed this week that the British Casinos Association's call for equal rights on slot machine numbers would lead to 10,000 new so-called 'category B' slot machines flooding the country.

"But BCA chairman Penny Cobham today said the actual number would be less than half of that amount…"
