Two Tickets Split $35 Million Mega Millions Jackpot

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE)-- Mega Millions is on a hot streak. For the second time this month, a Mega Millions jackpot has been won -- and this time there are two jackpot winners! A pair of tickets in the Tuesday, November 29, 2005 drawing matched all six numbers to split the estimated $35 million jackpot. The tickets were sold in Saginaw, Michigan and Wilmington, California. This jackpot win comes just two weeks after a Mega Millions ticket purchased in Anaheim, California won an estimated $315 million.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 07-08-47-51-52 and the Mega Ball number was 05.

Those two jackpot-winning tickets were certainly not the only winners in the November 29 drawing. A total of 497,650 tickets won prizes, including five tickets that each won $250,000. Those five tickets matched the first five Mega Millions numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. Three of those tickets were purchased in New York, and the other two in Texas and Washington.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.
