Two Spokane Tribe casinos to reopen

13 May 2020

Spokane Tribe of Indians announced that it will be reopening two casinos within a week. Spokane Tribe Casino is ready and reopening tomorrow. Below is a message from the Washington casino's General Manager, Javier De La Rosa.

"Welcome back to Spokane Tribe Casino! We missed you all very much!

We want you to know we have been very busy preparing for the opening of our property with our main focus on the safety and security of our ream members and guests. The days ahead are uncertain for all of us. However, we have been diligently preparing for the reopening of Spokane Tribe Casino with the goal to follow the guidelines of our great Governor Inslee, the CDC, the local Health District and the guidelines outlined by the State and Federal Government.

Recently, we sent out a survey to our guests asking what you would like to see when we finally opened our doors back up to you again. We utilized this feedback to build a model that we are going to follow. Things will be a little different than they were before we shut down. We will be implementing several changes based on your feedback to include requesting that guests wear masks (we will have masks available for our guests), taking temperatures at the entrances, providing additional space between tables in Three Peaks, increasing cleaning efforts, adding safety shields at cash registers and the Players Club and adding clear dividers and extra space between the slots. We also are going to increase our sanitation efforts, adding sanitizing stations, increasing the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting all aspects of the property, providing masks for our team members and reducing our operating hours to ensure we can properly deep clean the property on a daily basis. We will be wiping the ATMs and Kiosks after each use. We also will provide markers on the floor to promote social distancing standards throughout the entire property. While these enhanced safety features are a change from the past, please keep in mind that we are making these modifications to ensure each of our valued guests and team members is safe and secure.

We have been busy cleaning the property preparing for our reopening. During this closure, we brought in professional cleaning services to not only clean our facility but provide additional training to our team members to ensure these efforts continue into the future. We have changed out chemicals and cleaning materials based on guidelines from the health authorities and will continue to monitor, change and adapt to new standards and protocols as we move forward in these uncertain times.

When you return, you are going to see changes to some of our amenities throughout the property. Operating hours will be modified, the gaming floor will provide more space between games and restaurant seating will be a little different. As we move forward, some of these changes will be modified while others will remain. We encourage you to check the website regularly for updates to these changes as we move forward."

The recent changes in our world may have created some uncertainty; however, one thing that is certain is our commitment to providing the best experience and service that has set Spokane Tribe Casino apart from the industry. We will continue to provide exceptional service and ensure your time spent at Spokane Tribe Casino was worth the wait!

Next Monday, 18 May, Chewelah Casino will also reopen. Below is a Facebook post from the Washington casino describing the details of welcoming back guests.
