Two Candidates for New Jersey Casino Authority

NEW JERSEY – As reported by the South Jersey Business: "Cherry Hill native Curtis Bashaw is one of two finalists to replace James Kennedy as executive director of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority.

"Michael Vrancik has served as interim director since Kennedy left the agency late last year for a post at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.

"Vrancik has expressed interest in the job. Kennedy ran the authority for more than nine years, longer than any of his predecessors. Though he left voluntarily, strained relations between McGreevey and state Sen. William Gormley, R-Margate, over gaming tax increases last year are believed responsible for hastening his departure…"
