Turkey: Sportingbet's site blocked21 October 2011TURKEY -- The Turkish authorities have blocked Sportingbet's site to disrupt the sale of its Turkish website to GVC, according to The Guardian. Sportingbet was able to move the website and text the address to its users without interrupting service, the report said. Turkish regulators appear to want to prevent the sale because they feel the website is operating illegally, The Guardian reported.
