Tulane University Begins Casino Summer Classes

BILOXI, Mississippi – As reported by the Biloxi Sun Herald: "Leonard 'Len' Blackwell II, the former chairman of the Mississippi Gaming Commission, will teach a compliance class this summer for students enrolled in Tulane University's casino resort management program.

"Blackwell has lined up an impressive array of guest speakers for the Wednesday evening course, and the class is quickly filling up. About 20 of the 25 student slots are already filled.

"…'Len is unquestionably one of the most respected and qualified leaders in the field,' said Alan Silver, director of the casino management program.

"The speakers include Paul Harvey, the former director of the Gaming Commission; James Maida, the president of GLI, a slot machine testing laboratory; Walter Stowe, a compliance executive with Aristocrat Technologies Inc.; FBI agent Jim McGee; Dan McDaniel Jr., the incoming president of the International Association of Gaming Attorneys; and several casino general managers.
