Trump Gets Own Credit Card

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey – As reported by the Press of Atlantic City: "Donald Trump likes to think that everything he touches turns to gold. But now he's moving on to platinum.

"Riding the popularity of a new book and his highly rated TV show, 'The Apprentice,' Trump is getting his own credit card brand.

"The card is platinum, of course.

"…The casino owner is teaming up with credit card issuer Bank One for the Trump Rewards Visa card. Cardmembers rack up reward points each time they use it for eligible purchases at the three Trump Atlantic City casinos.

"…Visa customers enrolled in the Trump program earn two points for every dollar spent on eligible purchases at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort, Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino and Trump Marina Hotel Casino. They receive one point for every dollar spent on everyday purchases, such as groceries, outside of the casinos.

"Gambling expenses are not part of the Bank One-Visa rewards program.

"…With every 2,500 points they accumulate, cardholders receive a $25 gift certificate redeemable for nongambling purchases at the Trump casinos. Reward certificates can be used for purchases in Trump gift shops, restaurants or toward hotel stays…"
