Tropicana Atlantic City to host indoor Beach Bash2 January 2018(PRESS RELEASE) -- Warm sunny days at the shore are nowhere near in sight, but Beach Bash at Tropicana Atlantic City Casino & Resort is just around the corner heating things up with a 48-day celebration of indoor summer fun. 12 January through 28 February – Beat the winter blues with summer-themed displays including a giant sand sculpture at Palm Walk, a free concert featuring Mark Diomede & The Juggling Suns Project, Tropicana’s Jersey Shore Wine Festival plus retail, dining and nightlife specials throughout the property. Beach Bash Kickoff – 12 January Beach Bash kicks off Friday, 12 January at Tropicana Atlantic City’s Palm Walk at 1 p.m. with summer-themed entertainment including a game of corn hole – representatives from the Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City will face off against Tropicana Atlantic City executives. The winner will earn bragging rights. At the conclusion of the game, Tropicana Atlantic City will present the local non-profit youth organization with a donation to support its mission to “provide resources for the development of young people, from all backgrounds - to realize their full potential as responsible & caring adults.” No beach bash is complete without summer staples and Boardwalk favorites – Guests will enjoy free hot dogs, popcorn, Salt Water Taffy plus souvenirs. This event is free and open to the public. Free Concert Featuring Mark Diomede & The Juggling Suns Project – 10 February Saturday, 10 February at 8 p.m., celebrate Hippie Fest with a free concert starring Mark Diomede & The Juggling Suns Project at Tropicana Atlantic City’s Grand Exhibition Center. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Must be 21 to attend. After the free concert, keep the good vibes going at Boogie Nights. Guests dressed in hippie attire will receive $5 off admission and may enter Boogie Nights’ costume contest at midnight to win free admission and a VIP booth. This prize may only be redeemed on a future visit. Arrive early for Flower Power Hour (9 – 10 p.m.) and enjoy $6 cocktail specials garnished with edible flowers. Soak in the Summer Vibes with Photo-Worthy Displays Beach Bash brings the sand and fun indoors with summer-inspired displays and décor throughout the property including a giant sand sculpture in Palm Walk. Visit Tropicana Atlantic City’s Central Plaza and The Quarter for additional displays and décor. Tropicana’s Jersey Shore Wine Festival – 24 and 25 February Sample over 150 of New Jersey’s finest wines available for purchase by the bottle or case. Tropicana’s Jersey Shore Wine Festival features artisan crafters, hand-painted glass, live entertainment and educational wine seminars. The festival takes place at the Grand Exhibition Center Saturday, 24 February (2 p.m. – 8 p.m.) and Sunday, 25 February (12 p.m. – 5 p.m.). Admission includes a tasting glass, participation in educational wine seminars, cheese and fruit plate. Tickets, $25 in advance and $30 at the door, will be available for purchase at the Tropicana Box Office and on Ticketmaster at ticketmaster.com. Must be 21 to attend. Guess the Number of Beach Balls for a Chance at $1,000 – 12 January – 24 February TROP ADVANTAGE® members are invited to guess the number of beach balls displayed above Palm Walk for a chance to win $1,000 FREE SLOT PLAY guaranteed. To enter guests must visit the display in Palm Walk and submit a one-time guess at any TROP ADVANTAGE® comp kiosk machine 12 January – 24 February. The winner will be announced 24 February at 9 p.m. at the Beach Bash Balloon Drop in Palm Walk. Guests do not have to be present to win. Celebrate National Margarita Day with a Margarita Challenge – 22 February Thursday, 22 February at 5 p.m., Tropicana Atlantic City will celebrate National Margarita Day with a Margarita Challenge. Bartenders from Tropicana Atlantic City venues will gather at Olón to shake, blend or pour their version of the best margarita mix to compete for the Fan Choice and Margarita Challenge titles. The winning bartender(s) will earn more than bragging rights – winning margarita recipes will be added to Bar Olón’s cocktail menu. Guests will enjoy complimentary guacamole and chips. Special Events and Nightlife Specials During Beach Bash, enjoy Boogie Nights’ cocktail specials including $5 vodka-soaked Swedish Fish; Sink or Swim Boogie Bowls made with Stoli Citrus, Stoli Raspberry, Blue Curacao, cranberry juice, splash of sour mix, fresh lemon, garnished with Swedish Fish; and The Best Daiquiri made with Little Water Distillery’s Liberty Rum, fresh simple syrup and fresh lime juice, shaken and served straight up. On 25 January, Boogie Nights’ Baywatch Thursday welcomes The Pool & Spa Show attendees. Guests who present Pool & Spa Show lanyards will receive free admission. In honor of the American Heart Association’s National Wear Red Day® on 2 February, AtlantiCare LifeCenter Fitness will offer the public expert advice on working out, on-site Zumba demonstrations and mini-sessions to discuss health goals with certified fitness professionals. The two-story, 12,455sf state-of-the-art complex offers the latest in cardio and weight training equipment, health and wellness classes and group fitness programs. In celebration of National Wear Day women dressed in red will receive free admission to Boogie Nights before 11 p.m. Enjoy featured red cocktail specials all night. Ivan Kane’s Kiss Kiss Nightclub – Every Thursday during Beach Bash, guests dressed in summer/beach attire (bathing suits, shorts, tanks, etc.) will receive complimentary admission (valid all night for women, until 11:30 p.m. for men).
