Tropicana Atlantic City partnering with NFL to combat hunger15 December 2015(PRESS RELEASE) -- In celebration of the NFL season, Tropicana Atlantic City Casino & Resort is joining with E. & J. Gallo Wines and Taste of the NFL to raise funds for hunger relief efforts. Now through Super Bowl Sunday, every glass or bottle of select wine and spirit labels purchased at Tropicana will help to bring meals to people in need across the country. During the NFL season, Tropicana restaurant and bar patrons who enjoy a glass or bottle of wine or spirits from a wide variety of Gallo Winery labels are helping to contribute much-needed funds to support America's hungry. For every two glasses purchased, one meal is donated to a food bank through Feeding America. For every bottle purchased, two meals are donated. Tropicana's participating labels include wine brands William Hill Estate and Louis M. Martini. In America, 48 million people still lack consistent access to adequate food. A full 17 million of those people are children. Since its start in 1992, Taste of the NFL has raised more than $22 million to address the needs of the hungry and homeless. “It's easy to get caught up in the holiday rush, but it's important to think about giving back, especially at this time of year," said Steve Callender, general mManager of Tropicana Atlantic City. "Through Taste of the NFL, Gallo wine sales at Tropicana have already resulted in a donation of 1,440 meals for the hungry, and there is still plenty of time for Tropicana guests to come in and lend their support to this very worthy cause." |
