Treasure Island Casino to assist federal workers

23 January 2019

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Prairie Island Indian Community and Treasure Island Resort & Casino will be assisting federal workers by collecting non-perishable foods at Treasure Island Center in St Paul and at Treasure Island Resort & Casino in Welch.

Treasure Island will be working with two groups to distribute the items - Second Harvest Heartland who services the greater Minneapolis/Saint Paul area and Channel One Regional Food Bank who services southeast Minnesota.

“We are committed to collecting food and helping those federal workers until the government shutdown is over,” said Prairie Island Indian Community Tribal Council President, Shelley Buck.

Individuals that drop off non-perishable food items of $5.00 or more between noon and 5:00 p.m. will receive a voucher for $10.00 in free play from Treasure Island Resort & Casino.
