Town Supervisor Wants Pataki's Backing on Casino

NEW YORK – As reported by the Hudson Valley News: "'For Pete's sake' sign off on the Monticello Raceway casino, is the message from Town of Thompson Supervisor Anthony Cellini to Governor George Pataki.

"Cellini Tuesday sent a letter to Pataki asking him to sign the concurrence for a St. Regis Mohawk casino at Monticello Raceway. Cellini's letter was accompanied by 1,000 envelopes, which each contained a letter of support for the project and a pen for Pataki to sign the concurrence.

"…Cellini said Monticello is 'the perfect location" for a casino and already has the video slot machine operation there…"
