Tourism is Key to Winning Singapore Casino License

SINGAPORE – As reported by the Agence France Presse: "Tourism appeal will take priority when Singapore officials determine who wins the Republic's first casino licence, the government said on Wednesday.

"Four criteria will be used to evaluate bids for the Marina Bay integrated resort (IR) but 'tourism appeal and contribution' will be given the most weight at 40 per cent, the Singapore Tourism Board said in a statement.

"…For the remaining three criteria, architectural concept and design will get a 30 per cent weighting, development investment, 20 per cent, and strength of the bidding party, 10 per cent, STB said…"
