TouchPlay litigation concludes7 July 2010DES MOINES, Iowa — It took four years but finally Iowa has closed the book on TouchPlay, according to a Quad-Times report. TouchPlay was a slot-machine-like game that produced good revenue, but ultimately the Iowa Legislature voted to ban, the report explained. On Tuesday a $150,000 claim was upheld against the Iowa Lottery and State in a lawsuit that followed the ban, Quad Times reported. In total $18.4 million was paid in claims to vendors, the report noted. |
