Tory leader ordered MPs to oppose super casino choice

UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by the Manchester News: "Tory leader David Cameron has ordered Conservative MPs to oppose plans to build Britain's first supercasino in Manchester, it has emerged.

"The move means that Mr Cameron has effectively overruled shadow chancellor George Osborne, who was reported to have advised high-ranking colleagues to support Manchester's bid.

"According to the Sunday Telegraph, a spokesman for Mr Cameron told culture secretary Tessa Jowell that the Tories intend to oppose the all-or-nothing single order, which if defeated, would mean the whole casino package is thrown out…"
