Titan Poker player wins WSOP seats

10 October 2007

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Titan Poker, the largest poker room on the iPoker Network, has awarded player Jelte Kruijer with seats to the World Series of Poker, the World Poker Showdown and tens of thousands of dollars in cash.

Jelte Kruijer's winning streak began in May when he won a $14,000 seat to the 2007 WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas through a Titan Poker Super Satellite Tournament. Since then, he has also won a prize package worth $8,000 to the WPS in Costa Rica and finished first place in Titan Poker's $100,000 Guaranteed and $50,000 Guaranteed Tournaments -- bringing his total winnings up by another $40,763.

Jelte, 39, from The Netherlands, plans to use these cash winnings when he sets off for the World Poker Showdown in less than three weeks. He said, "I have more money now for Costa Rica. I am very happy and thankful to Titan Poker for having such great promotions." Jelte will be joined in Costa Rica by two other Titan Poker players, who also won seats to this event through online Super Satellites at the popular poker room.

Jelte's next ambition is to win a seat at the WPS - Bahamas "Deep Stack" Poker Open, which will be staged at the beautiful Cable Beach Resort in January 2008. Titan Poker is holding a series of Super Satellites for this event, awarding winners with a $7,000 all-expenses paid trip to the Bahamas Poker Open.

Jelte is not the only player to repeatedly win huge prizes at Titan Poker's online tournaments. In the past year, Mark Hoath, a Theatre Director from Australia, won seats at Titan Poker's exclusive land-based $500,000 Freeroll in London, a $12,000 prize package to the Aussie Millions in January, and qualified for The Tournament Titan - a Million Dollar Guaranteed Freeroll open to just 20 players and set to be staged this December.
