Thunder Valley casino tribe split over Kings pledge9 November 2011CALIFORNIA -- The decision by the Thunder Valley Casino Resort to pledge $1 million to the Sacramento Kings is causing controversy amongst tribe members, the Sacramento Bee reported. The disagreement has led to a "recall effort" against the tribal council, the report said. The pledge was made to prevent the Sacramento Kings moving to Anaheim and came allegedly at the cost of funding a tribal school and drug rehab program, according to the Sacramento Bee. |
