Thunder Valley Casino announces entertainment schedule

27 September 2023

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Thunder Valley Casino Resort announced upcoming acts to its much-anticipated entertainment schedule at The Venue.

Promoting positivity and unity as their sound has developed from organic hip-hop to global dance-pop, Black Eyed Peas -- consisting of founding members will.i.am, Apl.de.Ap, and Taboo -- have remained prominent throughout their incomparable evolution. Their first Top Ten single "Where Is the Love?" became a number one hit worldwide, and the message-oriented anthem began a hot streak continued by Elephunk (2003), Monkey Business (2005), and The E.N.D. (2009), multi-platinum albums featuring some of the decade's biggest and most boisterous pop hits, including the Grammy-winning batch of "Let's Get It Started," "Don't Phunk with My Heart," "My Humps," and "I Gotta Feeling." Translation (2020) and Elevation (2022), containing crossover Latin hits such as "Ritmo," "Mamacita," and "Don't You Worry," have continued to broaden the group's international dancefloor appeal with elements of reggaeton and Afrobeats, and a likewise diverse array of collaborators.

Earth, Wind & Fire is an American R&B and disco band formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 1969 by Verdine and Maurice White. Also known as EWF, the band has won six Grammy Awards and four American Music Awards. They have been inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. Rolling Stone has described them as “innovative, precise yet sensual, calculated yet galvanizing” and has also declared that the band “changed the sound of black pop”. In 1998, they were ranked at number 60 on VH1’s list of the 100 Greatest Artists of Rock N’ Roll. The band’s music contains elements of African, Latin American, funk, soul, pop and rock music, jazz and other genres. The band is known for the dynamic sound of their horn section, and the interplay between the contrasting vocals of Philip Bailey’s falsetto and Maurice White’s tenor.

Beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, 28 September, Thunder Rewards Members will have the exclusive chance to purchase tickets on-site at Thunder Valley at the Rewards Center Box Office. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, 29 September and can be purchased online at www.thundervalleyresort.com/entertainment or at the Rewards Center Box Office.
