Three Firms Propose St. Louis Projects

ST. LOUIS, Missouri – As reported by the Associated Press: "Three gaming companies met Friday's deadline for proposing regional casino projects that could lead to new riverboat gambling venues in both the city's downtown and south St. Louis County.

"In September city and county officials asked for the proposals, believing the Missouri Gaming Commission is more likely to approve a two-boat, city-county project from the same company than a single, county-only casino.

"…Under the plan advocated by city and county officials, revenue from the two casinos would be split between the city and county.

"Two of the companies submitting proposals by Friday's deadline -- Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. and Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. -- offered such a dual project. The third company, Harrah's Entertainment Inc., proposed only a county casino…"
