Thousands Visit New Blue Chip Casino

MICHIGAN CITY, Indiana – As reported by the Northwest Indiana Times: "Gamblers crowded onto the floor of Blue Chip Casino on Tuesday, the first official day of business for the newly built $170 million riverboat.

"Rob Stillman, spokesman for Blue Chip parent Boyd Gaming Corp., said several thousand people came for grand opening festivities that included Desperate Housewives actor Jesse Metcalfe making a ceremonial first roll of the dice.

"…Blue Chip General Manager Judy Campbell said Monday she expects Blue Chip gambling revenues to increase as a result of the new vessel."
