Thomas Decker to be Pennsylvania Gaming Congress Keynote

17 December 2004

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Thomas A. "Tad" Decker, chairman of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, will be the keynote speaker at Pennsylvania Gaming Congress 2005 on Feb. 9.

Governor Ed Rendell in October appointed Mr. Decker as board chairman to oversee the daunting task of creating a powerful state agency from scratch and regulating the operation of up to 14 gaming facilities and 61,000 slot machines. The gaming board met for the first time on Dec. 14.

"Tad Decker is now the central figure in shaping the Pennsylvania gaming industry. The insight and vision he shares at this important conference should prove valuable to those who plan to participate in and follow gaming in Pennsylvania," said Mark S. Singel, former Lieutenant Governor and Acting Governor of Pennsylvania, now Managing Director of Public Affairs Management, an organizing sponsor of Pennsylvania Gaming Congress 2005.

Mr. Decker has served in executive positions throughout his career as a nationally respected corporate lawyer and currently sits on the Delaware River Port Authority Board and Port Authority Transit Corp.

As Managing Partner at the Philadelphia law firm of Cozen O'Connor, Mr. Decker served as chairman of the firm's Management Committee and concentrated on mergers and corporate law, corporate governance and alternative dispute resolution. Pennsylvania Gaming Congress 2005 is the premier forum for the emerging gaming industry in the Keystone State.

Top public officials, gaming operators, regulators, slot manufacturers, and Wall Street analysts will address the hundreds of attendees in an intensive, daylong conference.
