The Weather Lottery PLC changes name to Boxhill Technologies PLC11 October 2013(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Weather Lottery PLC has changed its name to Boxhill Technologies PLC following the acquisitions earlier this year of payments software and processing businesses Poseve and Sormelle and its continued investment into lottery products. The London Alternative Investment Market (AIM) quoted company is a diversified business and operates two divisions; one in lottery and the other in gaming and payments software solutions for both individuals and businesses. The Weather Lottery has been operating since 1998 and announced this week that it has paid out more than £5 million to charities and good causes. It has also handed out millions in prizes. Boxhill boasts a portfolio of payment solution products via its Pay Corporation brand. These include consumer-facing services such as the industry’s most secure prepaid voucher, top up card and a prepaid PayCorp Visa card, with further complementary products in production. The Gaming & Payments Software division is currently generating increasing revenues through the provision of online payment systems for companies such as Ladbrokes, while other gaming and non-gaming merchants in a number of jurisdictions has seen an encouraging growth in use. The company has ambitious plans to deliver and acquire new products and businesses, with a particular focus on lotteries and global payment processing. Boxhill’s board includes non-executive chairman Lord Tim Razzall, the Liberal Democrat’s spokesman on Trade and Industry. Its chief executive officer is Phil Jackson, while Andrew Flitcroft is Financial Director and Kevin Dale chief operating officer. |
