The Venetian Receives AAA Four Diamond Award5 March 2001LAS VEGAS--(Press Release)--March 5, 2001--The Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino received top accolades today after accepting The American Automobile Association's 2001 Four Diamond Award. The prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award has been given to only three percent of the 26,000 lodgings rated by the agency. The honor is awarded to those properties that provide guests the utmost in service, atmosphere and quality. ``We are extremely delighted to receive the AAA Four Diamond Award and join the elite group of resorts in this class,'' said Michael French, senior vice president of operations at The Venetian. ``We pride ourselves in offering guests and visitors to The Venetian unmatched service and attention. Our team members truly care about The Venetian and their enthusiasm shows in their everyday interactions with guests.'' The Venetian was named a Four Diamond property after several unannounced visits by AAA field inspectors since the property opened in May 1999. These inspectors scrutinized and rated everything at the resort, from cleanliness and safety to amenities and ambience. ``All of The American Automobile Association's Four Diamond winners, like The Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino, are a cut above the rest,'' said Kelly Bell, manager of approved accommodations for AAA. ``These lodgings consistently deliver a truly memorable experience, complete with superior personal service, quality amenities and an unforgettable ambience.'' The Venetian offers guests 3,036 hotel suites (each standard suite measures approximately 700 square feet), 120,000 square feet of gaming floor, 500,000 square feet of retail space at The Grand Canal Shoppes, the luxurious 65,000 square-foot Canyon Ranch SpaClub, 500,000 square feet of meeting space at The Venetian Congress Center and a direct link to the 1.2 million square-foot Sands Expo and Convention Center. |
