'The Underdog' comes to SEVEN Bar March 3128 March 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- Texas singer-songwriter Aaron Watson brings his hit lyrics to Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs on March 31. The free admission show begins at 8 p.m. with Austin, Texas, country singer John Wolfe. Watson takes the SEVEN Bar stage at 9 p.m. With a rocky start, Watson began his career with lots of doors slammed in his face by big-time Nashville executives; but with his pure talent and determination, they eventually came knocking. The country music star released his debut, self-titled album in 1999 and quickly gained momentum into the spotlight. His 2002 album, "Shutupanddance," earned him radio airplay and attention nationwide. The determined artist continued to crank out more hits, releasing his 11th album, "Real Good Time," October 2012, which reached No. 9 on the Billboard charts. Watson released his latest album, "The Underdog," February 2015. The record soared to the top of the Billboard Top Country Albums and Billboard Independent Albums charts, selling 26,340 copies in the first week of release and peaking at No. 14 on the Billboard 200. In direct harmony with his lyrics of the rise up from the bottom, Watson has managed to collaborate with special guests like Willie Nelson, Sale Watson, Jack Ingram and Bill Joe Shaver, all under his own, independent label. |
