The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower to celebrate Lunar New Year13 January 2026(PRESS RELEASE) -- The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower will welcome Lunar New Year and the Year of the Horse with a lively celebration featuring specialty dishes at CHI Asian Kitchen from Friday, 14 February through Tuesday, 17 February; followed by a traditional lion dance performance on Thursday, 19 February; and find luck during an exciting slot tournament to celebrate the occasion. CHI Asian Kitchen, known for its authentic and reimagined Asian cuisine, will mark the occasion with two celebratory dishes crafted to symbolize prosperity, good luck and abundance for the year ahead. Selections will include crispy fried striped bass with ginger sauce and the choice of scallion pancakes, noodles or steamed rice, priced at $59, with the option to add crispy prawns for an additional $21; and Peking duck served with vegetables, plum sauce and the choice of scallion pancakes, noodles or steamed rice, priced at $122 for a whole duck or $65 for a half. Both dishes will include dessert, featuring a display of whole fruit and mango pudding with fresh strawberries, sweet cream and an orange lace tuile. CHI Asian Kitchen is open from 4 to 10 p.m. on Sunday, Monday and Thursday and from 4 to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Reservations are recommended and may be made online, on-site or by calling 702-380-7711. Walk-ins are always welcome. The celebration will continue at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, 19 February, with a vibrant lion dance performance by Las Vegas Kung Fu Academy. A beloved Lunar New Year tradition, the lion dance is believed to bring prosperity and good fortune for the year ahead. Performers in intricately detailed lion costumes will leap and bow to the beat of drums, cymbals and gongs as the performance makes its way through the casino before concluding at CHI Asian Kitchen. On Friday, Feb. 20 and Saturday, 21 February, True Rewards members may participate in the $25,000 Year of the Horse slot tournament. Players can participate with a $50 buy-in and 75 winners will share $25,000 in slot play, with first-place winner receiving $6,000 in slot play. Participants may play three rounds of the slot tournament, and there will be $50 hot seat winners during every round. Additional information is available on The STRAT website.
