17 October 2006

Tribute actors resembling Cher, Whooppie Goldberg, Marilyn Monroe, Joan Rivers, and Jim Carey's Ace Ventura conducted trivia contests for cash, merchandise and gift card giveaways.

"We knew the day was going to be special when we walked into work and the halls where lined up with star shaped balloons and managers handed out custom embroidered Hollywood Casino polo shirts," said Sherry Perkins, a housesperson at Hollywood Hotel. "I won $384.00 in the cash machine," said Perkins.

Area businesses including Bay Cleaners, Wal-Mart, Bailey's Lumber Yard, and Home Depot generously offered gift certificates and merchandize for prizes.
