The Reel Life teaches burglary 101

17 March 2011

The Reel Life has covered a lot of burglary stories. But never one where the burglar was the person who called the cops.

According to CNN, a man who broke into a house in Oregon called police because he believed the homeowner might have a gun.

Timothy James Chapek was allegedly taking a shower in a house he had broken into when he heard the homeowner return. The homeowner, who was accompanied by two German shepherds, asked Chapek what was going on.

Chapek then locked himself in the bathroom and called the police. He said that he had "broken into the house, the owner had come home, and that he was concerned the owner might have a gun."

Police later arrested Chapek and charged with criminal trespassing. It is unknown if the homeowner actually had a gun.

The Reel Life isn't surprised by the fact that a burglar called the cops. We're surprised by the fact that a burglar was taking a shower in the same house he was burglarizing. That, friends, makes no sense.

Four in the door

Red Flush Casino this week announced the addition of four new games to its registry of Microgaming powered games.

"This month we are welcoming four new slot machines to our portfolio, each of which has been crafted to the same high standard as each of the casino games in our collection of close to 500 casino games," said Alex Roberts, Red Flush Casino Promotions Manager.

The games are as follows:

Eagle's Wings – The call of the great outdoors forms the basis of this five-reel, 25-payline video slot which provides a majestic view of the beautiful forests of North America where blue lakes and ice capped mountains stretch as far as the eye can see. The eagle, a symbol of power and grace, is there to assist players in completing winning combinations, and possibly reveal a free spin reward of up to 60 free spins.

Asian Beauty – As the newest addition to the "ways to win" format, Asian Beauty provides 243 ways to win across five reels which are displayed in a finely detailed oriental theme that comes to life when four graceful Asian princesses appear across the reels. The elegant digital graphics provide a calm atmosphere while rewards such as 10 to 25 retriggering free spins make for ideal entertainment.

Party Island - Portrayed by vivid digital graphics, Party Island is a five-reel, nine-payline video slot that takes players on a virtual holiday to a party island where sunny beaches, pulsing music and warm ocean frolicking is part of the everyday norm. With wilds, free spins, multipliers and a second screen bonus, the game represents never-ending fun in a most welcoming way.

Retro Reels Extreme Heat – As the newest addition to the ‘Retro Reels’ series of classic titles, Extreme Heat makes it possible to relive the entertainment of one of yesteryear’s most popular slots. The five-reel and 30-payline video slot combines advanced technology such as the re-spin feature, which makes it possible to re-spin any of the reels at an additional cost while staying true to its simplistic origins.
