The Reel Life: Take the money and spin edition

18 February 2016

If you robbed a casino, you wouldn't be dumb enough to then gamble that money at that same casino, would you?

No, of course not. You'd go to the casino next door.

That was the brilliant plan held by George Leon Goodrie, who allegedly robbed the Emerald City Casino in Great Falls, Montana, last month, then took the money (in a stolen pickup truck, mind you) to another casino down the road to gamble.

The Reel Life just assumed this was the first time this has ever happened. But alas, it wasn't! A few years ago in Pennsylvania, a gambler left one casino, went to a bank, robbed it, then returned to another casino to gamble shortly after.

Geniuses, these fellas are. If we've said it once, we've said it a thousand times: Never return to the scene of the crime. And especially don't return if you have the stolen loot in hand. This is Bonehead Criminal 101 stuff, people.

Instead of going to another casino, Goodrie should have played the online slots, like this one:

Get in the fast lane, Grandma, this bingo game is ready to roll!

Slots.LV is ringing in Valentine's Day with two brand-new slot games that are sure to get you in the mood for love.

The three-reel slot, Diamond Cherries, offers big payouts while you spin through images of extravagant gems. The second slot game takes place on the big stage of a game show.

Combine romance with gaming, and you get The Final Rose – a Bachelorette-themed slot available on mobile. The game show host starts things off by introducing two contenders, who will compete for a beautiful bachelorette's hand. There's just one twist, though: The bachelorette can forget the two guys and go for a pile of money instead.

Don't get the wrong idea. She's not just in it for herself. The Bachelorette is wild(ly) helpful, and subs for all symbols except scatters to help create winning lines. Her generosity also manifests in the Bachelorette Free Spins Mode, which is triggered by three scatter symbols (the Champagne flutes). Eight free spins are paid out, and they can be re-triggered by landing two scatters on reels 1 and 5.

The Final Rose has your typical five reels and 25 lines, and also comes with an excellent array of random multipliers. At any point before a spin, a multiplier between 2x and 10x can be applied to the spin, increasing the winnings exponentially. The only thing more exciting than winning a payout, is having your winnings multiplied!

If you're more of a diamonds and cherries kind of player, Slots.LV Casino's recently added Diamond Cherries will appeal to you. The simple three-reel, one-line slot is a no-fuss game with the added bonus of wilds. There aren't a lot of three-reel games that come with bonus features, so this one is a must-try game for three-reel enthusiasts.

As can be surmised by the name of the game, the theme revolves around precious diamonds and delectable cherries. The secondary icons consist of bars and lucky sevens. Since there is only one line, you don't need to select what lines you want to activate. Simply select between one and three coins to bet, and begin spinning.

The Diamond Cherry symbols are wild, and will increase winnings with multipliers ranging from 2x to 4x. If you're lucky enough to land three of these symbols, a three-coin bet will get you a massive payout of 2,500 coins. That's enough to make any Valentine's Day memorable and rewarding.
