According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, a domestic violence case took a turn towards the bizarre after Judge John “Jay” Hurley issued his ruling. First, here are the facts of the case. Joseph Bray did not wish his wife a happy birthday. After his wife started arguing with him, Bray pushed his wife on a couch and put his hand on her neck. He didn't strike her. Hurley asked Bray's wife if she felt she was in danger or fearful of her husband. She said no. He then asked her if there was a restaurant or activity she liked. She replied with her answer. He then delivered his sentence: “(Bray)’s going to stop by somewhere and he’s going to get some flowers. And then he’s going to go home, pick up his wife, get dressed, take her to Red Lobster. And then after they have Red Lobster, they’re going to go bowling.” Hurley also ordered that the couple attend a marriage counselor. The Reel Life applauds Hurley's ruling.
