The Reel Life: Pizza topping emergency edition

31 March 2016

Americans often debate the roles that government and law enforcement should play in society. But even the most "big government" leftists can agree that the following request of a local police force would be taking things a bit too far.

In Hartford, Connecticut, a woman ordered a pizza with half cheese and half bacon, but ended up receiving a pizza with — gasp! — half hamburger.

So what did that woman do? She dialed 911, of course.

Yes, that woman actually called the police to help her handle her pizza topping dispute. Fortunately, the Hartford Police Department didn't overstep its boundaries and came back with this fantastic response:

"OK, that's not a police matter, ma'am. You'll have to work that out with the pizza shop . . . If you go over there you can call and have an officer meet you there, but an officer is not just going to call them and ask them to give you your money back. If you want to go back to the pizza shop and wait outside I can send an officer to talk to you."

Actually, it's crazy that the 911 dispatcher would even suggest sending a police officer to the pizza shop to aid in this woman's cause.

But overall, this is a funny story that shows just how far people will go to get the pizza toppings they deserve.

(Also, hamburger on a pizza sounds pretty good. The Reel Life might have to take the evidence for further examination.)

Get in the fast lane, Grandma, this bingo game is ready to roll!

As part of its ongoing offline activity, newly launched Schleswig Holstein Licensed German online casino DrueckGlueck is offering 1 million free spins to one lucky winning player submitting the best, funniest or most controversial video of the DrückGlück Brand.

The competition to send in the best video will be announced on the "DrückGlück.de TV Show" running on Sports 1, the largest sports channel in Germany. The winner will also be presented their prize during the Show in May, giving all contestants just over 45 days to get filming!

"To our knowledge no online casino has ever given away 1 million free spins to one player before, and as we don't do things by halves at DrückGlück.de we thought it would be great to create the very first free spins millionaire in the online casino industry," said Michael Golembo, Marketing Chief of DrückGlück.de parent company SkillOnNet.

The competition is open to ALL DrückGlück players around the world who submit a video about DrückGlück, and the only stipulation is the video should include a Glück (characters on the website representing good and bad luck) and either the casino name or logo. Other than that, anything goes!

"And given that we have no wagering on wins from our free spins, any money won on the million can be cashed out, making it 1 million real cash free spins!" Golembo added.

This online video contest will be promoted worldwide by DrückGlück affiliate partners supported by localized media campaigns, with a prize also going to the winning affiliate who sends the free spins millionaire.
