The Reel Life: Misdirected text edition17 May 2012The Reel Life has lived in a dry town, and knows how annoying it can be to have to drive to the next town over to buy some beer, wine and spirits. But it's never driven us to buy black-market booze, and even if it did, we'd be certain to make sure that we weren't trying to buy it from a state trooper. Two women in Bethel, Alaska, however, weren't quite that smart. As 12:10 a.m., they texted what they thought was someone who could sell them some alcohol. But in reality, they were sending text messages to an off-duty Alaska State Trooper. Mike Ingram figured out that the person was looking for drugs or alcohol and set up a meeting. But instead of getting a buzz on, the duo got charged with attempting to purchase alcohol from an unlicensed distributor. While the Reel Life realizes it's probably hard to drive to the next town over (check a Google Map – Bethel is really in the middle of nowhere), maybe next time you can get someone to charter a flight from the Bethel Airport to the nearest town where you can buy beer. Or better yet, buy a home brew kit. Get in the game, Grandma, this bingo game is ready to roll! Microgaming progressive jackpots now total more than $3.8 million! If you're looking to win big, one of these games might just be your chance. Mega Moolah Major: $1,121,657 Tunzamunni: $500,691 Major Millions: $328,171 Roulette Royale: $315, 702 Cyber Stud Poker: $201,473 Poker Ride: $202,666 SupaJax Poker: $125,824 King Cashalot: $113,197 Fruit Fiesta: $113,017 Treasure Nile: $105,829 Triple Sevens: $103,115
