The Reel Life: Meth gator edition

16 July 2019

A police department in Tennessee has been attempting to scare folks straight by making Facebook posts about the potential consequences of flushing meth down the toilet, where it's likely to leak into the water supply.

"Ducks, Geese, and other fowl frequent our treatment ponds and we shudder to think what one all hyped up on meth would do," wrote the Loretto Police Department, sending the nation's horror writers scrambling to their keyboards.

"Furthermore, if it made it far enough we could create meth-gators in Shoal Creek and the Tennessee River down in North Alabama," the police department continued blithely, as B-movie producers everywhere began rearranging their schedules in hopes of being the first to get a meth-gator movie to market.

"They’ve had enough methed up animals the past few weeks without our help," it commented, which, uh, what, sorry? This was already happening? Did anyone get this on camera?

The police department disappointingly failed to elaborate on that last point, instead closing out the post with the standard police reminder that if you have any drugs you need to throw away, the proper and normal thing to do is to call the cops about it. We're sure everyone will pay a lot of attention to that last bit and not just freak out about how mean meth-addled geese must be.

Yggdrasil, the premium provider of slot games and casino content, is celebrating the seasonal sunshine with a thrilling Summer Fiesta campaign.

Over 10 days, from 8 to 18 August, Yggdrasil will give out a total of €60,000 to players participating in a special jackpot-drops-and-mission campaign running across a wide range of its award-winning smash-hit slots.

Jackpot drops combine the popular prize drop tool with the recently released jackpot game Jackpot Raiders, as well as Ozwin's Jackpots, and the classic Holmes and the Stolen Stones.

During this first part of the campaign, players must simply open one of the participating games and place a bet for a chance to trigger one of the many cash rewards including three whopping jackpot prizes. During this stage players can also win one of the several jackpots offered in the participating slots.

In the second part of the campaign, which is dedicated to Missions, players will have to complete objectives in the participating games and rank on a leader board for a chance to win one of the 400 prizes available. Mission titles include Yggdrasil-favorite Vikings Go Berzerk, as well as Spina Colada, Wild Robo Factory, and the upcoming release The One-Armed Bandit.

With colorful vibes and a considerable prize pool, Summer Fiesta combines all the best gameplay to satisfy any player preference. The campaign requires no set up from operators, and all prizes are covered by Yggdrasil.

Ana Georgieva, Head of Player Marketing at Yggdrasil, said, “We are excited to launch our Summer Fiesta campaign, which will surely make someone’s summer holidays better and will bring a lot of smiles.

“For 10 days in August, Yggdrasil games will have the power to make our players’ summers very special, and it couldn’t be easier for operators to facilitate our campaign.

“Combining huge jackpots and fun missions, our Summer Fiesta has something for everyone, and we can’t wait to have a great time with our fans.”
