The Reel Life: Jedi salad dressing edition

24 November 2015

Some folks are just a bit too excited about the upcoming Star Wars movie.

In Jacksonville, a man wearing a Darth Vader helmet and a replica of Vader's chest-mounted control box attempted to rob a convenience store, but was stopped when the store clerk grabbed a glass bottle of salad dressing and flung it at the man's head.

Despite the helmet, the bottle slammed the man in the head, reducing him to obviously less than full speed as he attempted to escape. According to police, the suspect ran from the convenience store but was eventually picked up by local cops.

Apparently, the "force" was not with this man. It was with the salad dressing that slammed into his head.

It just goes to show you, ladies and gentlemen, that when you're attempting to commit a crime out in public, it's usually best not to wear something that makes you easily identifiable to the naked eye. The Reel Life says this time and time again.

Doesn't anyone know how to get away with petty theft these days?

Get in the fast lane, Grandma, this bingo game is ready to roll!

It's time to treat yourself to two amazing new Rival games at Slots.LV: Jolly Roger's Jackpot and Moonlight Mystery. With engaging features, great payouts and the chance to score that big jackpot, these two quality games are just the thing to dive into the high seas for pirate treasure or tackle an intriguing mystery.

Let's begin with Jolly Roger's Jackpot, which is a pirate-themed, five-reel, 50-payline slot game that's full of exciting symbols like skulls, pirate ships and bottles of rum. Now, this game might offer moderate winnings, only a maximum of 5,000 coins, but that means that you can enjoy this game regardless of your bankroll.

The game's stellar graphics are one of its major strengths, and it's no secret that Rival is well-known for offering high-quality visuals. The theme really speaks to player engagement, keeping us involved through the use of graphics and with an interesting storyline. There's also the two bonus features to consider, which boost your chances of walking away with serious loot. Pair these bonus features with free spins, which this game offers in droves, and you've got the perfect recipe for a real pirate stew and, of course, big wins.

Next up, we've got the truly enigmatic five-reel, 15-line slot, Moonlight Mystery. This game is based on a classic murder-mystery theme, taking us back to the turn of the century, with a decidedly late-Victorian flavor and a cast of interesting characters. In fact, the graphics are quite artistic and extremely well-rendered, creating a feel that's both engaging and suspenseful.

The jackpot here is 2,000 coins, which isn't all that much, but we're not complaining because a modest jackpot makes this game much more accessible. It actually costs a minimum of 0.15 coins for one spin.

The expanding wild feature and the "Who Dunnit" bonus round are probably this slot game's biggest assets. The wild symbol, the poison bottles, expand to fill the reels during free spins, forming winning combinations whenever possible. As for the bonus round, it's easy and entertaining; all you need to do is select items or characters to reveal prizes.

After having taken both Jolly Roger's Jackpot and Moonlight Mystery, we can safely say that both these games offer the perfect mix of engaging storylines, stellar graphics and decent payouts. They're perfect for seasoned and new players alike.
