Some critics, including Business Insider's Christina Sterbenz, claim the app is "blatantly sexist" and won't "build the chemistry needed to fall in love." While the latter may very well be true in most cases, the Reel Life has a hard time finding this app sexist. Women already have the upper hand in the online (and real) dating world -- they tend to get dozens if not hundreds of messages per day, and they get to pick from the best of the lot. This app just makes the game more competitive for men, which benefits women further. That said, the Reel Life does not necessarily endorse the app as a viable means to find a suitable partner in the long run. In fact, we'd go as far as to say that any man who needs to use a site like Carrot Dating to get a date is probably a loser.
