The Reel Life: Black market lemonade edition

11 June 2015

In your own neighborhood, at this very moment, there are probably unsuspecting criminals setting up black market operations right on the street corner. These thugs must be stopped before society crumbles into anarchistic chaos.

This, unfortunately, was the mindset of one hard-nosed Texas police officer, who decided to shut down two little girls' lemonade stand, citing a violation of the health code.

“We were doing just fine until the cops came,” 7-year-old Andria told KYTX television station in Texas.

"They shut us down," 8-year-old Zoey added.

What is this world coming too when two little girls can't make an honest living by rolling up their sleeves and setting up a small business? The girls had already taken in $25 from the stand, selling lemonade for 50 cents and kettle corn for $1. Talk about entrepreneurship!

But that was only until the big, bad government showed up to let these girls know how the world really works. In addition to the health code violation, the Reel Life hears these girls will also be charged for tax evasion and will end up spending 47 years in a white-collar prison. Or we at least wouldn't be surprised if that were the case.

Get in the fast lane, Grandma, the bingo game is ready to roll!

Microgaming's progressive jackpots are looking pretty juicy this week. Here's where they stand right now:

Mega: $5,960,788
Major: $50,810
Minor: $1,818
