The Reel Life: Big Mac edition

17 September 2013

Imagine liking a food so much that it was all you ate six days a week. Now imagine that food is from McDonald's. It's almost impossible, right?

Dennis Rosenlof doesn't seem to think so. The 64-year-old Vietnam War vet estimates he has eaten roughly 12,000 Big Macs over the last 30 years.

"Mondays I always eat a Big Mac, two on Tuesdays, one on Wednesdays, two on Thursdays, one or two on Fridays, and two every Saturday," he told ABC News.

Ten Big Macs a week would probably make the average person morbidly obese. But to Rosenlof's credit, he has kept his weight and health in check by eating almost nothing else. He eats about 700 less calories per day than the average American man, while simultaneously eating the manliest food around.

The only thing The Reel Life could think about while reading this was the prop bet opportunities this guy could have cashed in on. If a poker player offered to bet that he could eat 10 Big Macs a week for the next year, and not gain weight, his degenerate buddies would jump on that in a heartbeat, and likely give him odds. It's just too bad Rosenlof doesn't hang out in casinos –- or with degenerates.

There's money to be made everywhere in this world, people. You just have to find your special place in the market. In Rosenlof's case, it could have been the Big Macs.
