The Reel Life: "Beer me, R2-D2" edition

30 May 2013

The Reel Life isn't lazy. Really. We're perfectly capable of going to the refrigerator and getting a cold beverage ourselves instead of just yelling, "Beer me."

But that doesn't mean we wouldn't mind having a robot butler helping us out.

The good folks over at Cornell University have built a robot that can tell when you need a refill on your beer and pour it for you. That's the Reel Life's kind of robot.

The robot, which is named Kodiak, is has a Microsoft Kinect 3-D camera to help it visualize the world. Then, based on the actions of the person it’s watching and the location of things like a coffee cup or a refrigerator, it "guesses" what the next action of the person is going to be.

So if Kodiak thinks you need a beer, it will refill your cup for you. And if you reach for your cup when it's about to pour, it will stop, wait for the cup to be put down, and then pour the beer.

Kodiak has around an 82 percent success rate. And considering there's a 100 percent chance a beer will be spilled during the Casino City home poker game, that's not a bad success rate at all.

Get in the fast lane Grandma, this bingo game is ready to roll!

When you go to a land-based casino, it's easy to tell what games other people are playing. Just look for the crowds or lots of people and head over there. At an online casino, you don't have those visual cues to tell what's popular and what isn't. That's where Lucky247 Casino comes in.

The online casino has put together a top games page that lists their most popular games. The top five are:

1. Immortal Romance
2. Thunderstruck
3. Tomb Raider
4. Mega Moolah
5. Mermaid's Millions

That's a handy list. Other casinos should follow Lucky247's lead and provide handy lists like that.
