The Reel Life: Attack of the sandwich edition20 November 2008The Reel Life isn't big on driving. We'd rather be playing the slots online. But occasionally, we like to get out and play the slot machines at local casinos, do some shopping and run some errands. You can't do that without car (at least not here). And when we're driving, we need to be completely focused on the road. But that can be difficult if your passenger is hitting your face with food. According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Emmanuelle Rodriguez, 19, is facing domestic battery and child abuse charges for hitting his girlfriend with a sandwich, knocking her glasses off and nearly causing a traffic crash. The victim had picked up Rodriguez from his mother's house in Port St. Lucie, Florida, and was driving north on Interstate 95 to their new apartment with their seven-month-old son sleeping in the back. Rodriguez became angry during the trip and responded by hitting his girlfriend "in the face with a sandwich (and) knocking her glasses off her face." Rodriguez also ripped off the rear view mirror and used it to beat and shatter the windshield, according to the Sun-Sentinel. The report does not specify the type of sandwich that was used in the assault. The Reel Life does not condone domestic violence, especially of the sandwich variety. And we can assure everyone that there will never be sandwich violence when we're on the road. But we'd also like to note that playing the slots online makes people happy. And happy people aren't prone to road rage. (Yes, that's not how Reese Witherspoon said it, but we're not Reese Witherspoon.) Get in the fast lane grandma, the Bingo game is ready to roll! Spaniard wins big at Casino Tropez It all started with a single wager and a spin of the reels, and ended with one Casino Tropez member scooping a monumental €1,005,000. Jesus M. of Spain received his colossal win at Casino Tropez after playing their exclusive Global Traveler slot machine for just over an hour. The 32-year-old from Madrid was thrilled with his win and, in his recent winner's interview with Casino Manager Marius Valentin, said, "I was shocked by my gigantic win. I love playing the slots and my favorite games are Global Traveler and Desert Treasure. I usually play at Casino Tropez every other day". Jesus also told the online casino that "I found Casino Tropez when I was surfing the net. I really liked the overall look of the casino, the quality of the graphics and of course the games."
